Burt's Bees
The results are in!
At last, a bit delayed (its been a bit hectic around here in the lead up to Christmas), but we finally bring you the results of the Burt's Bees lip balm trial.
Four lip balm addicts were sent off with a sample of one of the new lip balm flavours to trial. This is how we got on:
Sarah from Sydney
Sarah tested out the honey lip balm. She uses lip balm several times a day especially when out and about training for sports events/triathlons.
'It was great. It was a good consistency and I was still able to eat, drink and run and it stayed on. The smell was nice too - not too strong. It was very effective out running and cycling as it provided good moisture and protection from wind and sun. No cracked lips if applied regularly. It provides a nice base below a lip gloss, giving more nourishment to the lips.'
Jen from Victoria
Jen tried out the mango flavour for us. She uses lip balm every day.
'Absolutely delicious! I am biased being a mango lover, but it smells good, it is a lovely consistency (not too dry, and seems to stay on for a while). My only criticism of it is the difficulty of getting the seal of to use it in the first place.'
Claire from Sydney
Claire trialled the acai berry flavour using it daily in place of her regular lip balm.
'I am a complete lip balm addict and have found that I stick to one brand as every other I have tried has just not hit the mark. This one however was great. It had the right level of moisturiser and the smell was very appealing!
Jo from Sydney
Jo used the pomegranate oil lip balm, every morning.
'The pomegranate oil lip balm has a lovely red colour, not sure if it shows up on the lips, but it looks and smells great. The lip balm felt rich and thick and left my lips feeling moisturised for hours afterwards. The smell was fresh and tangy and the tube was nice and small – great for pockets. I also found it didn't melt and go slimy in my pocket like some lipbalms can. All in all I loved this lip balm. The packaging was simple, it did a great job and is a good price.'
All our testers gave very positive reviews of the new flavours and everyone would recommend them to friends.
