Nature Babycare Disposable Nappies
We tested the maxi (size 4) nappies for babies 7-18kg. These are the results.
Martine and her son
Martine usually uses huggies nappies. She was impressed with the nappies and said
'They were fantastic, I loved the environmental concern they have with regards to things like the packaging. The big bonus was my sons nappy rash has gone & I don't need to use as much cream on his bottom. I liked the design & the fact I can purchase them in my supermarket. I always wanted to try eco friendly nappies but didn't want to buy online & now buy them as part of my supermarket shopping.
I have already recommended these nappies to friends. They are a brilliant alternative to chemical based nappies available.
Sarah and her son
Sarah uses cloth nappies most of the time, but disposables when out and about. This is what she had to say.
I like these nappies and would definitely buy them. The size 4 fit my 15kg son really well. Overnight we had only a tiny bit of leakage a few times - my son is a heavy wetter overnight - but not enough to disturb his sleep. We also noticed the outer layer of the nappy seemed to wear off a little bit when being worn in rough play or sometimes at night, but this didn't seem to affect the performance of the nappy. The fastening velcro stuff is very strong, and sometimes requires some force to undo (which is good when your child is prone to taking off their own nappies!). I like that the nappies use renewable resources and less plastics than standard nappies. I also like that they are available through major supermarkets (they are the only eco ones in my local supermarket!).
I would definitely buy Nature BabyCare nappies again and recommend them to friends. They aren't priced significantly higher than other standard nappies and I only buy them occasionally so i can live with the slightly higher price.
Jo and her daughter
I use these nappies all the time as I can get them in my local supermarket. I find that they are very absorbent and comfortable. My daughter has not had nappy rash when using these nappies and they also hold an incredible amount of moisture overnight. The tabs are strong and they are also slim line so aren't bulky under her clothes (unless of course they are holding a full load!). I used to buy eco disposable nappies on line which is a bit of a pain as you pay for postage and you have to wait a day or two for them to arrive. I'm looking forward to them stocking the pull-up versions in my local store.
